Hey guys - well almost T- 1 month and counting and starting to get that nervous anticipation feeling for our upcoming trip. Was hoping to get some advice on the tentative Itinerary as I haven't been there since summer of 2017. Chartering a 45 FP Elba from DYC (really looking forward to cruising this yacht- looks amazing!) with 3 couples out of Scrub Island from April 23 - May 1st.

At first I thought of going strait to NS the first day but thinking this would be probably dead into the wind so changed to fist stop CGB and then counter clockwise... appreciate your thoughts!

Sat - Scrub - Arrival, provision, orientation
Sun - CGB - checkout, boat brief, Sail to Cane Garden Bay, stop off at Monkey point for lunch, beach bar afternoon and Dinner at Bananakeet or Sugar Mill , overnight at CGB
Mon - JVD, Little Harbour - Sail to sandy Cay or Green Cay, sail to Little Harbour, taxi to WB and dinner in Little Harbour either Sydney's Peace and Love or other restaurant (assuming no more self serve bar anymore
Tue - Norman - stop at Soper's (provision), Caves/Indians, dinner at Pirates, Willy T
Wed - NS - sail to the dogs for snorkel, on ball at Saba or BEYC
Thu - Anegada - Sail to Anegada , afternoon at Cow wreck or Tipsy by Ann, Dinner at Wonky dog
Fri - North Sound, LVB - early morning dept, Leverick Bay on a slip, taxi/rent a car to Baths, Friday Night Jumbies BBQ
Sat - Scrub - fuel at LVB dock, boat return, night at Scrub
Sun - fly home....

Day one is ambitious unless you are doing a sleepaboard.

Nice itinerary - I was thinking about doing something similar for my May trip. My only concern would be the Wednesday - Norman to NS seems like a lot of upwind sailing for one day - I’m sure it will fine, but I will be curious to see how you find that. Have fun!

Since you're going to Scrub, you could re-fuel at Loose Mongoose, which could be cheaper.

Nice to read this as my wife and I are doing our first BVI trip and leaving from Scrub on the same day as you. We will be on a 35 ft. monohull.

Also figuring a CC itinerary but am not nearly the planner you are - we are figuring being our first visit we will take our time and enjoy exploring. I do think we will head to JVD for the first night - time permitting. I think the only unknown for us is if we will have time for Anagada or leave that until the next time. Probably decide mid week or so.

Lets hope for nice weather!

Thanks all for the comments - the Norman Island to NS is up wind and up current - do not expect it will be a fun sail - have done this but usually from Peter island and then a stop at the baths in the past. I think I will try to motor sail into the wind and then put sail up when I start to head north.

Regarding refuel - plan is to refuel on the docks at Leverick - before departing back to base

VT Sailor - we will definitely look out for you - we will be on an Elba 45. We didn't do Anegada on our first trip. Not necessary and something to look forward to when you come back a second time and more familiar with the sail grounds! - hope to meet you at the base - Cheers Jeremy
