Looking for recommendations for Miami Sleep and Fly hotels. Tired of driving 3.5 hours to Miami, after getting up at 2 AM. Need parking for 10 days, shuttle at 7 AM through 9 PM, restaurant and bar onsite or within walking distance.

Thanks for any help!

We usually stay in the MIA International Airport Hotel. Very handy but not it you need to park for 10 days. Hilton Garden Inn has the free managers cocktail party in evening and free buffet breakfast in morning. Free shuttle too but not sure about long term parking.

Hilton Blue Lagoon
We just stayed there before our SXM trip. Included 14 nights uncovered parking on site. Worked well. Comfortable with an on site restaurant/bar.

I will second the Hilton Blue Lagoon, we’ve stayed there many times, convenient, extremely clean with nice rooms and very comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Also there are a ton of food options on the property and off the the property. Lovely location.

OK, thanks. Their website is not very good, as far as room descriptions. Are there fridges with a freezer section in the room? We normally bring a mini cooler with meats with us. Would appreciate being able to put that stuff in the freezer for the night.

We did not have a freezer/refrig in room...only a mini bar with no room to add items.

One thought. Sometimes hotels will store a cooler for you in their walk in freezer or fridge for guests.

Same here Carol, but the rooms are super nice! That is the only hotel we choose to stay in when overnighting in Miami.

I really don't want to put something in a hotel freezer, as I am so scatterbrained sometimes, I'm afraid I would leave it there!! Then I would be pissed off at myself the whole trip.

We used the Hampton Inn 2 yrs ago and parked our small RV there during our 2 week trip. Worked out great! https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/miaaehx-hampton-miami-airport-east/
There was a food truck outside and restaurant in nearby hotel. Good free breakfast.

Chuck--thanks. I think I really would prefer a real restaurant in the hotel.

I will add one more cool factor to staying at the Hilton Blue Lagoon, you can sit by the pool or in your room, and see the planes coming and going! And the shuttle to the airport is only about less than 10mins, they are very efficient with their shuttles. Well I guess that was two, sorry.

Fox--I guess that is a question--hotel shuttles are often NOTORIOUSLY S>L>O>O>W... What's your experience with that?

We're thinking about switching to the later AA flight from Miami and using Miami Park N Fly, which does a wonderful job with their valet parking and excellent shuttle service.

I have stayed at the Hilton Blue Lagoon several times, very nice rooms, great location. The rooms are a little pricey, no fridge in the rooms, but I believe you can get one, but have to pay for it. In my opinion that property is the best around MIA.

I will also second what ARC said. As far as price, we only go around once in life, we thought the rooms were excellent and well maintained. As the shuttles, y’all will not have any problems with them

Hi Carol. We have flown out of Miami many times. We tried the shuttle at the Sheraton once and will never do it again. I think a lot of airline crew stay there and they appeared to get priority when the bus pulled up. I understand they have to get to their flight, but it was stressful waiting 15 minutes for the next shuttle.
We now stay at the Hyatt Place near the airport and drive to the Park and Fly which is close by. Their shuttles are really dependable.
Wishing you the best on your upcoming trip. You sure deserve it after all you have been through.

We used Miami Fast Park for years, and were extremely satisfied with their service, until they unfortunately went out of business. Now, we use Park and Fly the past few years and have also been very pleased with their shuttle service, as they are always extremely prompt. We have had some bad experiences with it taking FOREVER for shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. At this point, I think we have just decided to take the later flight from Miami to SXM and just drive down that morning and use Park and Fly again.
