I just put some gas in to top off my car for the return tomorrow. I went to the Sol at the end of the causeway bridge and it was 2.45 naf/L. If my calculation is correct, that is about $5.15 USD/gallon. Not bad considering the runaway inflation in gas prices in the US, and probably less than is some areas of the US. I would expect the SXM prices to increase substantially and soon. If my calculation is incorrect, please feel free to correct it.
Not trying to start a negative discussion but pat asked about gas prices in one of my previous posts.

Yes, considering the prices here in the states, that's not bad.

$5.15 / US gallon is not bad at all. I returned a rental car on Anguilla on Saturday, and had to fill up at $7.07 / US gallon!!! OUCH!

Wouldn't 2.45 per liter be closer to $9.80 a gallon? Liter = 1000cc, quart = 946 cc. A quart is a small amount(54cc) less than a liter, so 4 times 2.45 gets you 9.80.

Somewhat but actually pat asked about gas prices so I decided to get the facts on it today. I wonder if the local politicians here will start playing the blame game on gas prices?

We just returned on Saturday. I will try to get a trip report out this weekend. Last week I purchased gas at the Cadisco at Orient bay. The price was 1,23 euro/liter, and they were giving $1 to 1 euro. 1,23 X 3.78 = about $4.65/gallon. Not much higher than the price of a gallon of gas here in Pennsylvania. ( I drive an electric car, so I don't worry too much about the price of gas. I do worry about the future price of plane tickets, as planes burn a lot of fuel )
