Oh my what a day! Weather was better. Nice breezes with just a few strong gusts and lots of sun.

We did Happy Hour a bit earlier so we could get over to Grand Case for dinner at our favorite French restaurant, Bistrot Carribes. Absolutely incredible. Valinda Vincent had escargot in garlic butter followed by Sea Bass. Robin McCants had house smoked salmon a s the Sea Bass. Lynn Newlin began with a scallop and shrimp salad and the Lobster Thermador. She picked out her Lobster from the tank. Huge! It was SO rich and decadent. John and I shared the hot Goat Cheese salad. He had the Filet and I had Veal Scallopini gratineed with blue cheese. Valinda has creme brulee for dessert, Lynn the petiferols and John and I shared the Lava cake. We ended the meal with shots of ginger rum. Every bit as good as I remember it and so worth the drive.

We got there early a bit before 6:30 and by 6:45 it was packed. When we left at 9soemthign there were several groups waitign for tables. I've net seen it that busy in ages.

We're still stuffed this morning.

Thanks for sharing your pictures! It's our favorite restaurant, and your group looked like they were enjoying the lovely dinner too!
