We just booked a villa in Simpson Bay for November. Had to cancel last year, which was the first year we missed in 30+years. Hope we can put the Covid craziness behind us and return to our favorite place.

It’s very exciting isn’t it? We just booked a few extra days before our trip this April so we will be staying at the Villas at Simpson’s bay for three days and then we’re picking our friends up from the airport and staying another 7 days at a place in Beacon hill. At least it gives us something to look forward to.

The place we booked is in Beacon Hill. This will be new for us since we first stayed on Dawn Beach area for the 1st couple years and then The Belair, on Little Bay where we had timeshares for a long time (30+ years). I know that Carol and others stay in this general area so we hope we can learn about where to go for what we will need or want there. We will likely return to some of our old favorites like Chesterfield's and Marks's Place and have enjoyed most of the restaurants in this area but some are now gone and others are new to us.
It is exciting and Lisa is beyond happy to go back to her special paradise.

OK,
Already know that there is a private pool but beach in front of this place comes and goes and is always rocky so we will need to walk a few minutes to get to a nice sandy beach.
Closest food store?
Closest casual restaurant, café?
Closest higher end restaurant?
Noise level from local bar or club?
Thanks in advance for any information.

I'm not sure where you are exactly within Beacon Hill, as it is a fairly large area.

Closest food store is probably the Maho Market, but I only go there for something REALLY quick. For anything more, we usually go across the Causeway and go to Carrefour right by Port de Plaisance or to Super U in Marigot. You have Market Garden on the corner of Billy Folly road, but their prices are out of sight.

Closest casual restaurant--again, depends on where you are in Beacon Hill. You can walk down the beach to Mary's Boon or Karakter during the DAY, about 1/4 mile walk from Beachside Villas. El Zafiro is on the beach below where I GUESS you might be staying, unless you are on Burgeaux Bay. Otherwise, head toward Sunset Beach Bar, where there is also the Sandbox in the Morgan Complex, and then all the offerings at Maho. Several high end restaurants in Maho, including Jax Steakhouse, Moulin Fou, Sublime, etc.

As far as noise levels, we hear music from Karakter sometimes. Otherwise, no.

Closest food store? Maho Market right at the traffic circle(limited selection) and the Carrefour Express in Jordan Village (very nice, good selection. Right by medical school)

Closest casual restaurant, café? Sunset Beach Bar, Driftwood Boat bar, Sandbar (all very close) Jordan Village has some very nice casual places; Barcode, Fat Tony's, Spaghetti House and a few more, also a nice Bakery

Closest higher end restaurant? Le Moulin Fou, Sublime and La Rosa Too are all right in Maho. Mario's Bistrot at the Cliff's in Cupecoy and a number of choices at Porto Cupecoy

Noise level from local bar or club? This can depend on which side of Beacon Hill you are on (subjective)

OK, you won't be overlooking El Zafiro, but around the corner, which is fine. The Sandbox and SSBB are probably a bit closer to you than El Z, just go straight down the main road. To get to El Z, you need to turn where the sign says for BSV. We've never stayed there, but I think the sand kind of comes and goes there on Burgeaux Bay.
