Friends are planning a months stay in a condo rental in Punta Cana next winter. They plan to cook a lot of meals themselves. Curious as to cost of buying groceries on the island.

Tell your friends that, on average, they can expect to pay 25% to 35% more for a week's worth of groceries in Punta Cana than they would if they purchased the same items "back home".
