So on Sunday, we were concerned there would be a road blockage, so decided to stay at Grand Case beach. A few light drizzles sporadically, but mostly sunny. We had made reservations for Oceans82 the day before, because we saw they had the lemon featured on the outside menu, and the hostess confirmed they still had the same pastry chef. Dinner was fine, my wife had lamb tenderloin, and we got the lemon dessert - it truly looks just like a lemon, he has the surface texture and color just right, then just inside that is a white layer like the pith on the lemon and under that is the lemon custard and graham cracker ( I think ). It looked like something out of the Netflix show School of Chocolate On Monday, we headed off to Mullet, and got to the traffic circle just past the bridge and all we could see were clouds, some dark, so we decided to try Friars Bay. We took the back "road" to Friars Bay, I don't recommend that route, and when we arrived it was drizzling and overcast, so we headed back to Grand Case, and hard to believe but it was sunny, so we stayed here. We had used Facebook to make reservations for tonight at La Villa , glad we did, we got there at 6 and the place was full, as soon as a table cleared, they reseated. All the waiters were going full speed, but did get a chance to say hello to Jean Carlos ( J C ) and Sedric ( sp? ) who is always so nice. I had the Mahi and the mashed potatoes which were extremely good, and my wife had the snapper which was excellent. They also came by with a post meal shot of coconut milk, pineapple, rum and grenadine ( I think, I had 2 ). As always, they make you feel very welcome in their restaurant . As we walked back to our place, the rest of the restaurants looked fairly crowded as well.
Isn't it odd, how often it is raining one place on island and sunny on another??? Thanks for the pics! I will have to try that lemon dessert at Ocean 82. We didn't get there last time, unfortunately.
