Looking for recommendations for a week-long stay in San Juan, PR in late Feb. Any experience from the TTOL network at Condado Vanderbilt? Thanks!

We have only stayed out in the Rincon area (private villa rentals) for surfing. The only San Juan property we have stayed in is El Convento in Old San Juan (lovely).

We stayed in the El Convento for a couple of days several years ago. Nice facility and good location to Old SJ sites, restaurants, etc.

Stayed at the Marriott Solaris Hotel and Casino multiple times. We did my daughters wedding there as well. Great place.

We have stayed the El Convento several times and love the hotel and location. So if you want to experience the city, I recommend it.
Last trip, our friend wanted a beach, pool, spa location and stayed at Condado Vanderbilt. He liked it but memory tells me the beach in front the hotel wasn't very nice, exposed rocks, water line right to the seawall.

We ended up staying at the Condado Vanderbilt. Fantastic hotel in every way. However, the north coast of PR is rough. Swimming is challenging to dangerous. So, for beach goers, not the best choice. (I'm told the south coast of PR is much better for the beach scene.) The Vanderbuilt has lots of options for hanging around the pool and pool bar.
Completely by chance we stumbled in to El Convento while touring Old San Juan. Looked great. Might have to try it next time.
This was the first time we've spent any time in PR (other than passing thru SJU). Absolutely loved it. Great vibe, Friendly people. Great food. We will be back.

Glad you enjoyed Husker. PR has so many “faces”. We love staying at El Convento when in PR - a few nights there, off to Rincon to surf and sometimes visits to EL Yunque (raepelling down waterfalls is amazing). El Pretexto, up in the mountains, is an amazing farm to table lodging for a few nights as well. If you know where to go PR has a lot to offer - each area with its own distinct personality.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. We plan on renting a place for a month when our son is in college so we can fully explore the island

Hey @Husker. Would you be kind to provide me with more details about the costs you've been charged at the Condado Vanderbilt? I'm planning a trip somewhere in the Caribbean, and I'm quite stuck in the decision-making.
