We are not on it but have heard that there are many cabins for sale on the Bare Necessities nude cruise next month due to cancellations. We have friends that are still going (despite Covid) and Cypress Cove keeps track because they run busses from here to the port.

I would think that is certainly correct--a LOT of people would be wanting to cancel right now. I hope they bought 'cancel for any reason' insurance. Is this the first cruise by BN since ships were shut down?

Heard that Cove management folks are coordinating with Carnival to get testing done on premises or nearby before the nude cruise, Obviously needed since many people stay at the Cove for a while before leaving for the cruise. Hopefully that helps keep on-board Covid to a minimum.

We are on the cruise right now and it’s been a wonderful cruise. The cruise line has been excellent in protecting the cruise staff and passengers. All aboard were tested three days Before sailing and again the morning of boarding. We are very impressed.
Full pre vaccinations with two initial spaced shots and then the booster shot had to be verified and proven.

Hi Carol. I will be glad to share with you. We arrive in Tampa cruise port at dawn Sunday and should be back at Cypress Cove noon or so if lucky…or at supper time if heavy traffic.
Ww plan to stay at the Cove three to four nights before driving home to Maryland

We were on the nude cruise with Bare Necessities (BN) and it was good, yet after 11 days of 14 days we were beginning to feel the need for home. The crew was very good and we enjoyed our interaction with them, they are service orientated! We enjoyed the "silent dance" night, there were plenty of loungers to sun your self (of course there were about 1400 passengers on board). The ship deck plan was good for a nude cruise and I thought better than our previous Carnival ships with BN cruises. Buffet food reminded me of "day-old bread", just not good. The dining hall served good food, most of the time. BN apparently offers special benefits and events to those who have traveled repeatedly with them as a couple times we were not allowed access to some decks and places on the ship. Wish we know what it took to get invited? The Ports of Call were mostly good and we really liked our Ocean to Ocean Tour in Panama. Panama is really a pretty county. Cartahenga was totally a surprise, very engaging and the Old City Tour was real good. Bonaire; we took a bus ride tour which was just that, a bus tour. Three short stops and slow-down drive-bys made up the day. Not too great of a tour. Curacao we stayed in town and found it to be friendly and wonderful place to stroll around, have lunch and a few cold-ones. Dominican Republic is really beautiful too, we toured the Ocean World park and swam with dolphins; so much fun! San Juan; we really like, what a wonderful heritage this territory owns. When we departed the San Juan the USCG escorted us to sea, that was very cool. Nassau was a bust, nether of us want to return or least we would like to dock somewhere other than the main port. Nothing but a hassle after leaving the pier and returning to the pier. I got offered Cuban cigars in a plastic bag multiple times. Can you spell harassment? After three BN cruises on Carnival we decided that the premium you pay to go nude is just not that much of a value. We also are tired of Carnival ships, thus we are taking a break from Bare Necessities and Carnival. However if you have never done a nude cruise I would recommend it.

cranan--thanks for the report. What was the capacity of the ship, since there were only 1400 people onboard?
We took two nude cruises with BN, years and years ago. We decided at that point that they weren't worth the premium price you pay for it, regardless of what cruise line it is on.

Carnival Pride quest capacity is 2124. We heard that a lot of quests were deferring to the 2023 BN cruise on the Carnival Pride. Which is a similar 14 day cruise, including 6 sea days. Yet it is focused on the Eastern Caribbean.
