Our itinerary has us day 3-4 in Anegada then heading to the south and western side BVI.
Peter, Norman, JVD etc. day 5-7.
Where is easiest place to top off the water tanks on the west side of BVI? Sopers?
Thanks.

It’s the T dock before the ferry dock on the West side.. They also have a small provisioning store.

In July there were still FCFS balls. Usually I arrive at JVD coming from Anegada. The internet is so poor there I have no luck with boatyball so I hope they keep the FCFS balls.

First week of November GH had white balls on the east side. Apparently decent anchoring outside the mooring field - there was a mono seemingly perma-anchored out there, though he did move the boat daily - and I saw a couple of crewed charter boats anchor inside, pretty close to Foxy's.

Have a great trip!

We used the JVD place (North Latitude Marina) and they were great. They didn't answer their cell phone nor were we able to raise them on VHF so we cruised by and asked the gentlemen sitting by the store if they were open. Both came out to help us dock and get fuel. Lots of depth by the dock. The winds were fairly stout out of the east so they also gave us good advice as to how to depart.

We had a Moorings 46.3 with bow thrusters. My worry at JVD was getting the stern away from the T-Dock without slamming into it. They were very helpful about where to place fenders and how to back away from it.

Now Oil Nut Bay was a lot more fun. Our slip required us to back in with probably 20 knots wind 30 degrees or so off the starboard bow. Bow thrusters couldn't kick the bow back over to the starboard finger pier. Dock help finally jumped into our dinghy and pushed it over like a tugboat. After our return I took an ASA online course in docking and maneuvering, asked the instructor how I should have handled that situation so now I'm all ready for my next BVI trip.

It’s actually a great dock to learn on if your new to a monohull. To dock simply drive up parallel to the dock about 5 feet off and the wind will push you gently to the dock. To leave if the wind is pinning you on the dock put your biggest fender or two as far aft on the boat as possible. Drop your lines except one Spring line from the aft boat cleat to the dock. Put the boat in reverse and with the spring line tight add power and the bow will rotate away from the dock, shift to forward and drive away as the dock hand releases the spring.

We just pulled up to the fuel dock at North Latitude Marina in Great Harbor. There was no answer on the VHF so we pulled up to the dock and got off. It looks like it's been closed for a while. Does anyone know if you can get water in Cane Garden Bay as of today January, 2. Thank you.

We were lucky I guess that the folks were sitting outside since they didn't answer the phone or VHF. CGB should have water at the dock but when we went in July the T dock was blocked with parked boats and I didn't think our mono could safely tuck in on the side so we went to Great Harbour.

Yes, there is water at the fuel dock in CGB.
