Has anyone tried to renew their Global Entry since you had to register in Login.gov? I managed to complete my registration there, but when I finally got to the renewal section, I found it extremely confusing. I finally logged out in frustration when I apparently put in something the site didn't like, and couldn't figure out how to correct it.

Don’t ask me how I did it, but I actually managed to complete DH’s renewal single handedly without any assistance from those who know what they’re doing. (Clearly, I don’t!) It was very confusing because the info they had after didn’t match what I thought I’d given so many years ago.
Have to renew my own soon so we’ll see what happens.
Good luck, KitKat. Hope you’re able to get it done.
Respectfully,
pat

For what it is worth, I renewed my GE online about 8 months ago. I've been a registered user on the GE website since it's inception. I just followed the renewal instructions step by step. I found the process very easy and it took only a few minutes to complete. Confirmation of the renewal application was received by email a few minutes later and got another email the following day notifying me the renewal was approved. If memory serves me correct I received my new GE ID card in the mail about a week or so later.

I completed my renewal in November by going to this site https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/ and choosing Global Entry. I filled out the form, paid my $100 and received my new card a couple of weeks ago. I must admit, the process seemed to end rather abruptly with me wondering if I had done everything required - I guess I did.

Did all of you who answered me renew very recently? It is no longer easy to renew. I received an email in December about renewing my Global Entry card. I was told that you can no longer go into the ttp.cbp.dhs.gov to renew. Your logins will no longer work, as they have created a new system. Now you have to first create an account in the Login.gov website and set up your profile. This will then give you authorization to allow the TTP System to retrieve your information to facilitate the renewal process. I spent much of one afternoon trying to set up my Login.gov account. You need to create a new password, 12 characters long, and have it approved, then set up your profile. When I tried to continue to renew the card, the "renewal" button never came up and I got frustrated and shut it all down. Went back the next day, and logged in to Login.gov with my new password, and was finally able to complete the renewal process. Thank God!
So I am just alerting those whose Global Entry cards need renewing in the future. Good luck!

I recall sometime prior to the time I renewed my GE I received a notice saying that they updated their system and it was necessary to reset my password ( making it longer than my previous one). I did this at that time and it was relatively easy so when I actually went online to renew my GE the process was very easy.

KitKat,
I renewed my DH’s GE card about a month and a half ago and as it’s no secret I’m not a computer whizz, it took me a while but I did get it done on the first attempt and without too much stressing on my part.
Today I tried to do my own renewal and I finally gave up in utter frustration. Daughter number two helped me this evening and yes, we were renewing under the new site rules. According to her, the new site is a bit of a pita in that it doesn’t really differentiate a renewal from a new application beyond asking what you’re trying to do and until you’re well into the process it sounds as though you’re making a first time application. And to further exacerbate the situation, once we got the new login on the gov. site established and logged into it, it brought up old info that was wrong supposedly from our original GE application and it was a real pain to try to correct the erroneous info. We finally got it all corrected.
But the good news - we finally got to the point where it took my money so I think it’s a done deal! At least I hope it is…..😊😊

I renewed my Global Entry three weeks ago (10 months early). It was renewed and I received confirmation the next day and did not have to go for an interview. On the other hand, I renewed my husbands three weeks ago (also 10 months early) . He has to go for an interview. Can't figure that out as he has had top secret clearance. We're going for an interview in February. I did have to go into their new site but a lot of our information was still there.!!

I tried to renew months ago. Allegedly I am good buy I have to go for an interview. The earliest interview date was approximately nine months away. I tried to schedule in two different cities but encountered similar timelines.

Update. My Approval came in yesterday afternoon, in 1 day! And no mention of having to make an appointment. Now that I know how to renew in the new system, I hope they don't change the process again before my five year renewal is needed?
