Day 5 – Beach day at Le Gallion. We got a late start but still were able to park easily upon arrival. We got the last front row umbrella and chairs. Close to the restaurant and the water. Spent a few quiet hours playing in the water & people watching. Back to the pool at Flamingo and then the TTOL gathering at Greenhouse. It was really nice to put screen names and faces together. Thanks to Sharon & Al (warmbreezes) for putting this together. Tried the Kobe burger @ Bajatsu for dinner. $15 for the burger and then the bun & toppings are ala carte. I’m sure that I have had a better burger somewhere but just don’t remember it. This is the new best ever. We would do it again.
Day 6 – Back to Phillipsburg. We forgot some of our repaired items at Kay’s. That was OK as we needed to buy booze to take home at Gulmohar’s and a new suitcase to replace the one that AA destroyed on our trip here. Got it all and back to Flamingo for pool time and laundry. Laundry machines are now free at Flamingo for those who do not have them in their unit. Dinner at Pineapple Pete’s. Slow delivery of food as they were quite busy. This may not be the best place on the island but the food is good and they are incredibly consistent as well as having fair prices. That consistency is the reason we go there at least once on every trip.
