hi there- what grocery store is best if you are self provisioning (have a rental and will drive to get provisions). Bobby's Riteway? Onemart? I have heard of these but not sure which is best., THank you!!

If only one store, then Riteway. Far better selection than either OneMart or Bobby's.

No one answer. Riteway for meat, OneMart for veggies (especially local), Bobby's I'd skip because the parking is a huge hassle.

Don't forget Tico and Caribbean Cellars for beer, wine, and liquor (they each import different product).

Riteway just launched a new website that is VASTLY improved from the old one. Should make on-line ordering much easier.

Verify the charges with Riteway: they used to give a 10% discount for large orders, this year there was a 10% surcharge for picking the order.

Was just on Tortola for 2 weeks. Went to Riteway to shop & could not find everything I was looking for. Headed to One Mart which I always thought was an inferior store. Not anymore. I was not provisioning but staying on land. The store was well stocked, much more so than Riteway. They have rearranged many areas & added more upscale merchandise. We were definitely impressed. I couldn’t find a couple of items & asked one of the workers. They didn’t have the items out but went in the back of the store & brought out what I was looking for. Great customer service. Was shocked at how nice One Mart was.

gracie5 - this is good to hear! We're ordering from Riteway but there are always last minute things or items that don't get delivered. Might try One Mart for the extras!
Just placed our order with Riteway - they are charging a 10% fee for "hand picked, hand packed & delivery fee"

We just provisioned though Riteway on November 1. Many Items missing that were paid for. I've called and emailed them but can't seem to get a credit. This is the fourth time ordering from them, never had a problem in the past.

Riteway got most of the order right. Missed one or two things. Didn't reply to email or answer the phone. There were a lot of substitutions some of which were upsized. The French Deli was fantastic. Loved the frozen pastries. Wines and charcuterie selection was great!

Can't believe I forgot to mention Grape Expectations. They have the best meats on Tortola and are perfect for provisioning because everything come individually vacuum packed and frozen solid! Highly recommend the tuna, mahi, sushi-grade tuna, filey mignon, pork tenderloin, 16oz ribeyes. I'm trying the wagyu baseball cut next!

They will deliver or you could pickup and stop at the brewery for a cold local brew overlooking Road Harbour.
