So! Another earth shattering day of non-stop activity. NOT!
DH ran up to Jules Patisserie at Jordan Village early this am and picked up pastries for breakfast. He had his favorite, an almond chocolate croissant and I enjoyed a chocolate nutella pastry. OMGoodness - was that ever delicious!
Went out to the pool and visited with friends while dodging the occasional rain clouds. My new best friend, Mr. Cane, and I have spent a lot of time there this trip as we did in April. We’ve seen more rain this week than I think I’ve witnessed in all my cumulative trips over all the years we’ve been coming here but it’s all good. None of the downpours have lasted more than 10 to 15 minutes and then the sun returns full force. Consequently the greens are vibrant and the flora is incredible this trip. The gardens here at beachside are absolutely beautiful. I don’t think I can ever recall it being any prettier. The only down-side of all that is the occasional puddles. - some very deep - in all the usual places.
Skipped lunch and cocktail hour today although DH did grab a tuna salad sandwich from the room.
Dinner was at Sublime upstairs at Maho village and it was incredibly good. We didn’t realize it but if you get there between 5 and 7 pm, some apps and drinks are half price which worked for us. DH had a rib-eye steak and I enjoyed the grilled lobster tail. Both were perfectly cooked and we were very pleased. Our server was a delightful young woman who couldn’t have been any more professional and attentive if she tried to be. The only disappointment was when we asked about our former favorite waiter, Vimal, and I’m not certain of that spelling, and we found out he had moved on to another wait staff position elsewhere. The young woman who served us was a personal friend of his and said she would offer our best regards when she next saw him.
Back home by nine and here we are, garbed in our jammies and ready for bed and tomorrow, another action packed day, I’m sure. 😉😉

Enjoyed dinner last Wednesday, to repeat , it was great. Our problem and I do mean our problem. Large group of 8, reservation for 8pm, couldn't have conversation with half the group. Music came on and than conversation was even less. This is not a negative but life in a large group and inside with bar music. Services was great, food was super.
Oh, Lesley, you didn’t have to tell us re Sublime. We never made it there when Sublime was at the Summit but we searched it out when it was off the well beaten path in Simpson Bay and loved it. Weren’t too certain how we’d feel the first time we went there at Maho but we have enjoyed it more with every visit. We each had their French onion soup gratinee and it was also very good and even tastier since it was included in the half price apps list as was my wine before 7pm. And one thing we discovered for us - dining inside is very chic but we far prefer eating outside when there’s a breeze going on.

Never worry. I haven't made it down in that direction yet, but I hope to in the next few days. We arrived Wednesday afternoon and on Thursday they held a parade for me. It has been amazing as always.
You must be really, really special, bdeeley,,if they did all that just for you. 😊😊
The rack of lamb is very good and surprisingly, so is the lobster tail which I typically don’t eat but I’ve had it there twice and both times it was yummy……😊😊
