We had our covid test Thursday as our flight is Sunday. The test cost $75 and was at the resort we are staying but they also do other resorts nearby, it is next to Hollywood casino. They do testing Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5-7 pm. The line was long and we were done after 1 hour and the results were sent sent to the lobby of our resort at Simpson Bay Resort within 2 hours. I picked them up after our dinner at the Yachtclub around 8pm
The previous night we went to Skipjacks which was always one of our favorites, but I thought I saw some comments on this site that it was not the same so I was hesitant to go this year. We went and found it to be as good as what we remembered over the years and my wife said this is her favorite Restrant. We will have our last meal there tomorrow.
Tonight we went to Marks Place for the second time as this is one of my favorites as the food is always good reasonable if not cheap and you always leave full, we even share the chocolate cake as we are to full to have our own.
I am enclosing pictures one was a rainbow this am and some others that aren't of fish and some fish of the last couple days as I really enjoy snorkeling.
I know I have sent a number of queen angel fish but they are one of my favorites and Carol says she likes them.
Also the cruise ship in one of the pictures is one that has been out there for over a week.

That queen angel looks like someone took a phlorescent marker and outlined their body! Beautiful!

I guess it was convenient because it was at your resort, but that sure sounds like a long wait in line! We were very satisfied our past two trips with Medworks. You make an appointment and are in and out in 15 minutes, results in your email or you can pick them up, within about an hour. And cheaper than what you paid..

Glad to hear that you enjoyed Skipjacks and Marks. It's always good to enjoy a place that you have enjoyed in the past.

Thanks for taking us along and for posting all the great pics!

bobbarb,

Such beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing them. For those of us who don’t snorkel, seeing them is a real treat.

Respectfully,

pat

I thought about going to where you suggested after I saw the size of the crowd but figured we were already there. I could have walked there and back and probably would have saved 1/2 hour. I would say next year but God fwilling we be out of this by then.

Once again, enjoyed your photos!! What are you using, as I now bring my snorkel gear with me too!! Skpjacks was good??? It was always one of our go to places, but the last two times it was a bust, and that is putting it mildly!!! Twice, for Marks place, lucky you!! Even if the place is jammed to the gills, they still do an amazing job with every little detail!! Hope traveling home was seamless and safe!! Thanks for sharing!!

I use a Nikon cool pix aw130 which is waterproof up to 100 feet and very easy to use and carry as it small and not expensive, have had it for about 5 years. Previously I had an Olympus which was good but the Nikon I think is a little better, the reason for the switch was that I failed to completely close it and once in the water I saw bubbles coming out of the camera which destroyed it and the memory chip. I now double check before entering the water.
Since left on Sunday the lines at SXM airport were not existent as there was one or two people ahead of us and no waiting. We usually travel on Saterday in past which was never pleasant and now we will go Sunday to Sunday. The lines in Newark both leaving and coming is a different story.
