We arrived yesterday on Jet Blue from EWR after a long (almost 5 hour) delay. There was a weather radar issue with the plane which had to be repaired before we could take off. (JB already sent an apology email with $100 credit.) When we finally arrived around 8, ACE rental was already closed so we had to get a taxi to French side. In our 20+ years of visits this is our 1st time staying at L’Esplanade Hotel instead of GCBC. They are running a reopening special (great rates and a free 30 min massage) after being closed for 18 months due to COVID. It was too late to go out to dinner by the time we got settled so owner Mark offered us butter and a fresh mango (in addition to the welcome baguette and free beverages in our room.) Not much of a dinner but we were so tired from a long day of travel and just wanted to get to bed. Day 2 started with free breakfast (fresh croissants and baguette) on the terrace, trying to figure out how to get our rental car (still working on that) and planning on lunch at GCBC. So happy to be back!

Thanks ladies, so far so good. ACE is delivering our car to the hotel this afternoon. We had a nice leisurely lunch at GCBC and looking forward to dinner at L’Auberge or Spiga!
