I just drove from Simpson Bay to Anse Marcel with NO PROBLEMS. Not a roadblock in sight. Causeway - Rue de Hollande - Columbier - Grand Case. I am told it is clear to Orient. So no need to avoid French side.

Thanks for the update and great to hear. Enjoy your day at Anse Marcel, it's one of our favorite spots. Have reservation for beach chairs and lunch there next Sunday!

Yesterday (Saturday morning) I spoke to a French-side security guard, and he said the bridge at Sandy Ground is open.

I drove over the Sandy Ground bridge yesterday. There is a burned-out toppled car blocking half the road, but traffic just drives around it.

Random question, does anyone know if French side pharmacies are open on a Sunday? There’s a particular sunscreen I want, and Dutch side doesn’t carry it.

No, you won't find the pharmacies open on the French side today. Perhaps the store at the airport might carry what you are looking for.

Thank you! Looks like we will venture over tomorrow. We also need to get an ATM card back from the bank machine that ate it yesterday!

Thanks Scuba. We called our credit union and no issues. The machine did close down after it ate the card. Lol

Hubby deactivated it via his app. He is going to be at the bank when they open tomorrow morning. Pissed! I’ve had to use mine…
