Yesterday, we had one of the worst experiences we have had travelling home through PR. The plane was about 20 minutes late leaving Beef Island but it wouldn’t have mattered if it had been on time. One customs agent for a plane full of people while 4 other agents watched. A Silver Airlines employee, Ariel, escorted us through customs, through USDA, through the process of rechecking our bags (which all had to be retagged, which I don’t understand), through security, and to the gate. We just made our flight. Our itinerary allowed us over an hour and a half to get through this process, which was not enough. Based on yesterday, I would plan for at least 2 hours between flights. AND THIS IS LOW SEASON. Glad to be home safely.

As long as it’s on the same ticket the airline owns the problem if you miss connect. They have to rebook you and provide overnight accommodations if needed with one exception and that is if the delay is caused by weather. In that case they still have to rebook you but the hotel could be on you. G

Yes, this would have been the airline’s fault. Them taking ownership wasn’t my issue - I just wanted to get home without the crazy stress!
