If you start from the Main screen, you are asked for a VID# I am assuming a vacanation ID # (????) I put in as much info as I could as the VID# is a required field and they could not find me, no surprise there! They are asking for information that visitors do no have- if you want to setup an account they ask you for an ID number and a Crib number ??? if you bypass this, they ask you if you have an e-account and to create one, and you are back to square one. The French one was SO much easier!!LOL!!

I ran into the same problems, I tried the application also. BTW, thank you for sharing your experience of applying for and receiving the French Digital Passport. If I remember correctly, you leave pretty soon, so have a safe and uneventful trip down.

Aside from the fact that visitors apparently can't even obtain this, what establishments does it apply to???????????. Does this apply ONLY to "nightlife businesses" and what is the definition of "nightlife businesses"?? Restaurants? Casinos? Adult clubs??

The link to an associated article should answer some of your questions. Hopefully there is additional information out there that others can share.

It says "bar, nightclub or disco". What's the definition of a "bar"?? And it doesn't apply to casinos?

From an article we were all talking about a week ago, the French talked about implementing the Pass Sanitaire and in the same article it was said that the Dutch side would be implementing similar policies.

"Préfet Serge Gouteyron has decided to implement the health pass in St. Martin as of Friday, October 22. Dutch St. Maarten has also chosen to introduce a similar system."

The following gives a little more detail about what venues are covered.

* "The health pass will be deployed as of Friday, October 22, in bars, restaurants, and for all public events. Only establishments and events that hold more than 30 people will be concerned. The health pass will only be required from adults.

As of October 22, anyone wishing to go to a bar or restaurant on the French side must be able to present their vaccination certificate or, failing that, a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or antigenic test less than 72 hours old or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19.

Establishments that implement the health pass will be able to waive the rules related to COVID-19. The owner/manager will be allowed, at his own initiative, to waive the wearing of masks in the establishment, waive the rules of social distancing, and accommodate a number of people identical to the maximum capacity of the establishment open to the public.

To facilitate the health pass roll-out, an adaptation period of one week is granted. As of October 29, sports halls, shooting clubs, theatres and stadiums receiving spectators for events will be added."

** I would think on the Dutch side that it would apply to casinos as all of them have a capacity that exceeds 30 people.

I’m going to just carry my vax card and my EHAS entry with the QR code. If that isn’t enough to have dinner then I’m out. Not applying for something else at this point. Why on earth can’t this island work together (I get two countries). But for certain items like curfews, passes, entry requirements - make them the same!!!!

I read the first article, regarding the French side. The Dutch side rules seem to be different, but who knows??????? Supposed to apply tomorrow and no clarity as to what it applies to.

Ditto.

But mine will be a xerox of our vax cards. The originals will stay in the safe along with our passports.

We should be ok at La Cigale, as it is open-air and ...does it hold more than 30 people?

Re Le Cigale - basically outdoors and I don't think it holds more than Thirty but I honestly don’t remember. I’m thinking if our experience means anything, you will LUV it!

It’s been a long time back but IMO, nothing quite compares to Le Santal.

Ehas has been accepting Vax cards for a while, thry just didn't do anything with them. We also arrive on the 4th so will be applying to EHAS on Monday, 3 days before arrival. People are still saying that Ehas is asking for test results, this SHOULD change by then, if it doesn't I am just going to upload a PDF sayig Fully Vaccinated and see what happens

bizzottom--Pat is the voice of reason, not me! laugh According to what they SAY, the fully vaccinated card is supposed to be all you need on November 1. BUT see Teri's (The Lurker) thread here, where she said she's coming on the 2nd and has been unable to get the EHAS clearance yet, with just the card.
