I'm trying to gather a few recommendations for places to stay on St. Thomas for a night. My friends are flying in the day before our charter and need to stay over before taking the morning ferry to Road Town. I've seen Emerald Beach Hotel mentioned a number of times on TTOL. I want to give them a few options. Any other options (nice but less than 5-star cost)? Thanks.

#1 Emerald Beach
Olgas for the young at heart
Windward Passage. Across the street from ferry dock. A walk. Rather ordinsary but totally functional and clean.

For Emerald Beach, what is the typical nightly room rate? I saw rooms around $180 online but my brother tried to book and was being charged close to $350. He punted and booked a room at Windward Passage.
