Hello All,
Just wanted to let you all know that the BinaxNow Covid- Ag Card Home Test is indeed accepted by EHAS!
My wife and I took the proctored test this afternoon in the comfort of our home. Had the results a few minutes
after completing the test. The results that were emailed to us, clearly state that this is a "home test". We both
now have EHAS Authorized Pre-Approval. Driving to Miami tomorrow. Dinner at Ruth Chris, flying to SXM on
Tuesday morning for our 20th vacation in SXM!
PLEASE NOTE:
The test results that we received were password protected. The password was our date of birth. Even after
saving the PDF to my desktop, it took the password to open/view it. Had to print, scan and save as PDF again
to make it usable for EHAS. If you upload the PDF that you receive from eMed, EHAS will NOT be able to open/
view it, and you will be denied. Print, scan, save, upload a non- password protected version and you will be good
to go!

Holy Moley, that can't be true!!!! So many on here said it would never happen . OMG, Shut the barn door, craziness is happening with these approvals. You should be put on timeout for uttering such sacrilege. 😁

bdeeley,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! We live in Myakka City, Florida. More cows, horses, deer and wild hogs than people. The Florida that the Seminole Indians knew. The only traffic light is a single, yellow, flashing light. It's in the boonies. Nothing is within 30 minutes of us. Being able to test at home is a huge advantage for us! Would not have known that it was a valid option without you!!!

I am so glad it worked out for you both. You two have yourselves a truly safe and wonderful trip. It makes me smile inside , knowing that something I shared helped someone. Have a great 20th trip. Thank you for your kind words.

FreedomFighter: Are you and your wife both fully vaccinated? If so, I wonder if they are letting the types of tests slide because November 1 is nearly upon us?

I am, my wife is fully unvaccinated. However, she says she chooses to identify as vaccinated. Lol...

Did my Binax Now/eMed testing at home, 15 min later I got my negative results, all reports/documentation needed. Submitted to EAHS at 2:40p and at 3:21p received approval. They are indeed looking at these things as I messed up the first submission, got my birthday backwards (LMAO!!) and re-submitted. Even though the guidelines are changing as of 11/1, they are indeed following current protocol (I think someone commented they are just approving anything, not true, as there are still those that are unvaccinated) Thanks again bdeeley for the legwork on this, the whole process was easy peasy and did it from the comfort of my barcalounger. I have the other kit in my carry on to do at R.Islander for the flight home. This is the way to go, especially if you are not vaccinated as the rule change does not apply to those folks.

I'm very happy that everything went very well for you and I hope everything between now and when you land on the island is even easier and smoother. Did you try to pass yourself off as 29 when you submitted your EHAS application? Thank you for your kind words. Make sure you rest up for the next two days, because when you are on the island, sitting on the beach everyday can be exhausting. 🌝🌝
