In the U.S.A. there are supply chain shortages showing up in retail stores. My refrigerator stopped working and shopping for a new refrigerator opened my eyes to a shortage in stock. The only refrigerator in stock was the most expensive, all other brands were back ordered 3 to 6 months. In SXM are items out of stock? How are the retail food store shelves for food stocked? Are there empty shelves?

Based on our trip from September 30 through October 8, the food shelves in SXM were FULL, overflowing, bounteous. Beautiful.

I wouldn't expect this to affect St Maarten. This problem is more to do with the transportation snafus' in the USA.

As far as appliances, etc., there may well be worldwide shortages, but not for food, in SXM.
