We are flying United this week and when uploading our pre-flight info, their site says we have to show BVI portal approval. They apparently haven’t updated their site to reflect the new October 1 protocols. Has anyone run into problems with this?

We ran into that problem with American wanting us to show we had done the PR portal. We showed them the government website where it said it was no longer required for transiting travelers. I would contact the BVI tourist board ASAP and have printouts of the new rules and have their website bookmarked.

We have printed the new rules and will have the site bookmarked. Are you suggesting to contact the Tourist Board to let them know that is still showing as a requirement?

The Tourist Board has the biggest incentive to get this fixed, so let them know what United is telling you and let them deal with it.
