Ok, we are heading to SXM Oct 13th and I think I understand the EHAS process for getting to SXM.
My questions regard the process for getting back to the US.

1. Is there a similar paperwork process as required to enter SXM?
2. Or do we just present our negative COVID test at the airport for the flight home?
3. Does it require the same 72 hour time requirement?
4. And finally, we will be staying on Simpson Bay. Can anyone reccommend a good place to get the test nearby?

Thank you and I appologize if this has been addressed previously...

Ed

Go to the EHAS page and scroll to the bottom, where there is a link to the available testing facilities (also at bottom of this post). For where you are staying, MedWorks will be very convenient. It's in the Puerta del Sol Plaza where Avantika is. You make your appointment on line. They are fast and efficient.

Just a slight note on the timing of the test ... per CDC Q&A

Why does the Order specify 3 days rather than 72 hours? What is considered 3 days?
The 3-day period is the 3 days before the flight’s departure. The Order uses a 3-day timeframe instead of 72 hours to provide more flexibility to the traveler. By using a 3-day window, test validity does not depend on the time of the flight or the time of day that the test was administered.

Comskier--We did Medwork in June and again yesterday. $70 per person for antigen test. Very professional. Very convenient. On time, clean, air conditioned. We made an appointment from home. You do have to pay in advance, but if you have to cancel for whatever reason, you get your money back. We got a reminder email the day before, to make sure that we showed up for the appointment. Make sure you take ID with you when you go to your appointment, as well as a mask. They are scheduling two tests at a certain time, so we were able to schedule both of our tests at 9 AM. We were out of there by 9:15. We went from there to Reveil Matin for breakfast. After breakfast, we came back and picked up our printed results. (They also emailed them to us, but we wanted printed results.). Highly recommended!

BTW, if you don't know where Avantika is, which we didn't the first time, it is directly across the street from where Topper's USED to be.

Did the same as Carol the day before. Have used Medwork several times now and never a hiccup, with results usually within an hour.

Elaine--that would have been wild, if we met up there! grin We actually are going home tomorrow but deliberately scheduled our tests two days out, instead of three, in case something went wrong with our plane OR some kind of miracle happened and they offered us a bump for a free plane ticket! smile
