Was in Costco today and just for the heck of it inquired about getting a Booster. Was told no problem as long as I met the criteria. At 74 I did so filled out the forms and got jabbed. My card was laminated so they put the sticker on top of the laminate and dated it, Easy peasy. Took picture and is now on my phone gallery.

😀👍

Now, lets hope they dump all the in and out testing for your next SXM trip.

You are as safe as anybody, but id still wash/disinfect my hands and wear a mask on occasion.

Are Costco shots as good as Nordstrom shots?

We got Moderna, so that is not available yet. We will do it when it is available.

And I'm moving this to People Talk..

Good for you. I had no reaction but my wife was under the weather following day. Chills, nausia, headache and now a slight rash at injection site which can happen to some. All in all we are glad we got them.

I got my moderna booster yesterday at Walmart. Steve got his Pfizer booster two weeks ago at Walmart. We are all set now for our November trip to Jamaica. We have to get a rapid antigen test within 72 hours of our flight and we have an appointment at CVS for that.

For our Antarctica expedition in December we need a PCR test within 72 hours of arrival in Argentina. Due to time constraints we will use ARCpoint Labs...$220 a piece but we will get the results in 2 hours.

I am hoping those who have been vaccinated 3 times will eventually get to forgo the covid tests...but it does not seem it will happen in the near future.

Cathy--Sounds like a couple of lovely trips coming up for you!! We have appointments on Friday for our Moderna booster shots. That will be a good feeling, to get that done!

By the way, how have people's reactions been to their booster shots? I'm thinking (hoping) that the reactions are little to none, considering (for Moderna anyway, didn't really follow Pfizer), that it is only a half dose.

We were able to put our town’s walk-in vaccine booster clinic to good use today so I can say both DH and I have been totally ‘boosted’ if that’s the right term but why am I thinking it’s not?! 😊😊

Steve had more of a reaction to his Pfizer than I did to my moderna. But honestly. I am just glad to have it done and now we can travel.

OK, thanks. Yes, I agree, will be happy to have it done. Not as big a relief as the first two shots, but still glad to be safer.

Absolutely Carol...I am so hoping travel can return. I will be happier when vaccines are acceptable and we don't have to schedule covid testing. It gets complicated...each country has different requirements. Jamaica requires antigen testing 72 hours before your flight, Argentina requires PCR testing 72 hours before your arrival. We feel like we are jumping through hoops and we have no control.

I guess it is what it is...I am just glad we get to travel ANYWHERE

Cathy--Yes, it is odd, that we have to feel grateful, to be able to travel, but it is life in 2021....

So we’re 24 hours post Moderna booster and neither of us has had any reaction at all. We didn’t have any reactions with the first injections and DH had only the chills after his second shot but they merely lasted overnight. My only reaction was an itchy feeling at the injection sight for about a day. EZ PEEZY and done. Until they decide to make it an annual thing, that is….🙂🙂

We had ours this evening, so will see how tomorrow goes. We both felt a little "off" after the second dose, but nothing big.

Honestly, as far as a yearly injection, people in our age group think nothing of having to get an annual flu shot, so I really don't see any difference.

Interesting. DH and I both had the Moderna booster and no ill effects at all beyond I had a bit of an itchy feeling at the injection location but that was Thursday and we are totally beyond everything now. Info uploaded to the computer and just waiting for the next step - apply to EHAS. It's been a fiasco for our past two trips so I'm hoping the third trip since it's inception will be the charm.
