Just read on BVI Alive where a charter company closed shop and shut down website and email and phone leaving some hanging. He said they were located at Manuel Reef and parent company is in Europe and completely pulled out of Caribbean. Sounds like Barecat Charters. Can anyone confirm?

There's been a small operation called MedCaribbean that's been operating out of Manuel Reef..not saying its them but..I am sure Brent will jump in here with the untold story.

Website not working for MedCaribbean or Barecat. So strange. Hate it for charters that booked. Thanks for the info Mal!

The MedCaribbean website works but you will get a warning that their SSL Certificate has expired.

Ahoy Captains,
Brent Fennell here, Yes, I and The Captains Compass are still here at Manuel Reef Marina in Sea Cow Bay, Tortola, BVI.
And looking forward to my Best Season in 30 Years.
Yes, MedCarib are gone. Pro Valor Charters gone. BareCat, NorthSouth, SeaBreeze, Go Vacations, Tradewinds Bareboat Charters from Fat Hog Bay (not Trade-Winds Luxury Charters from Nanny Cay), Tropic Island, CSY (Caribbean Sailing Yachts), Stardust, BestSail, Discovery, Offshore, Stevens, CSC (Caribbean Sailing Charters), CYC (Caribbean Yacht Charters), VIP (Virgin Island Power), Footloose, etc.
They are All Gone.
I know some of the Stories but they are all Negative and I would prefer to focus on the Positive, especially these days.
I started in '92 with Pro Valor Sailing Academy and have survived 9/11, 5 minor Hurricanes and Cat 5 Irma, and now the Pandemic.
I have added 2 Yachts to my business this year and looking for more.
I Work every day, Run every night, and I am Fully Vaccinated.
I hope You All stay Safe and Sound and hope to see You All Soon!
Fair Winds, Brent from The Captains Compass
