We made it to SXM in July after 2 years of missing it. We got a rapid antigen test at a walk in-clinic. I had printed out the requirements for entry & they were able to meet the requirements. When we started filling out our form, I could not figure out how to attach PDF files to the form. So after frantic calls to our son, (computers are his main job). He said just take a picture & attach it. So I did. Mine was approved in 30 minutes. My husband took 7 hours. Anyway my question is: do I stress again over PDF or just take a picture & hope it works again?

I would do the PDF. You might have been lucky in July as is seems it all depends one who is reviewing the application.

You should be able to have the place where you took the test send the file to you in a PDF and if so, then you should be able to attach it. Have someone send you any kind of a PDF and then practice attaching it to something. (and yes, the files are supposed to be a PDF, although apparently sometimes they allow JPEGs..)

You can use a jpg...go like you are gonna print it but choose "Print to PDF" instead of your normal printer and it will be saved that way and easily attached.

This!

Supposedly jpeg doesn’t upload correctly. I think it’s a server/equipment issue to be honest!

I had PDF files last time. Just couldn’t figure out from the form how to attach it. Had no problem attaching the picture. We do not have a computer only use iPads. Anyway thanks everyone but your advice is still over my poor technology head. Lol

This is correct. You are actually converting the jpg file to a pdf file. Then you can attach the pdf file during the application process. Just make sure you know where the pdf file is saved on your computer. For step by step instructions, just google how to convert a jpg file to pdf.

I think the issue you may have encountered is you didn’t know where you saved the pdf. For stuff like this I always save to desktop. Just the easiest for me. Then when you search it’s right there.

Do *NOT* submit pictures. Whoever accepted them was not paying attewntion -- PDFs ONLY.

One word of caution with taking a picture and then "printing to pdf". Doing that will make the text in the pdf unreadable without special OCR software. This may delay your getting your approval.

Hmmm....I don't understand that statement re:PDF file. If you can open any PDF you can, well, open any PDF file

Maybe you can explain....I used the above for travel documents twice with no issues with the receiver reading them and if I remember correctly they suggest attaching a PDF of the results

you don't really need to do any converting of pics/jpgs to PDF, you can use an app like Adobe Scan that uses your phone's camera, but saves the image as a properly cropped PDF....easiest way to create a proper PDF from a hardcopy of a document, without using an actual scanner
