Daily Herald story

So, if you're lying on your chaise on the beach and see the navy coming ashore, don't get too worried! grin Seriously, most Dutch side beaches are so heavily populated, I wonder how they would do this?? Guana Bay maybe??

Been doing this every year we've been here. They move to different beaches. Stormed Simpson Bay Beach one time to the delight of the folks hanging at the beach.

Maybe Mullett on a Sunday. Could use bullhorns to announce " enough is enough. Keep littering and we'll shoot you!"

Just a thought......

Cheers

My wife walked down to the dive boat to watch me leave I was on and 10 of the Dutch Navy boys were on board. One of her favorite picture memories of St Maarten.

We were lucky enough about five years ago, while staying at Royal Islander, we watched the flotilla of boats, filled with ''soldiers'' and troop carriers etc, show up in the middle of Maho Beach, and ''storm'' the beach with equiptment, etc. Was exhilerating and scary at the same time, first thinking that SXM was being invaded by soldiers. Little like watching ''War Games'' on tv. smile

First it was a bit scary.......felt like we were being invaded. Then when the truth was revealed a big sigh of relief for all.
