Lena, all of the information is on the EHAS website. There is a link to that site in the first post in the forum.

Initially was a PCR Covid the only test that was accepted by SXM? If I’m reading correctly Canadians and Americans can do an antigen test 48 hrs prior to departures or a Pcr test up to 72 hours before departure.
Hubby and I are booked for January and I want to make sure I know what the hell we need to do to get to SXM.

I think there was always an option for an antigen test, but the time frame for PCR tests has changed from 120 hours to 72.

However, with regard to January, keep tuned, as things may well change by then.

God knows it could change 50 times by January. I just keep checking and we’ll have to make a go or no go decision by November in order to get our money refunded. Hubby and I are both very healthy and double vaxxed but we just want to be careful.

Are there same day testing sites in or near Grand Case?

Have you found anywhere you can get an antigen test for travel in Ontario?

Yes, I found a pharmacy that does both the PCR and the antigen test here in Ontario. Pharmasave does the PCR tests which cost $150 plus tax during weekdays and 199 plus tax on weekends and the results are back in 24 hours. The antigen test costs $40 and results are available in 20 minutes.

Thanks, I'll have to look into that. We are booked for Oct.

Check with the place you are staying. We stayed in Oyster Pond on the French side and Les Balcons arranged a Covid test in our unit. Cost was 40 Euro. Results were given within 15 minutes.

Shopper's Drug Mart and Fortino's pharmacy also does them. The PCR test is only available at select pharmacies. I believe the cost is the same as Pharmasave.

Either one right now. We got both in July when we signed up for PCR at 72 hr mark and they gave us rapid. We turned right around and did the pcr at same place 30 minutes later. It was nice to get the answer in 30 minutes rather than sweating over night.

If we had to do it again, we would do the rapid within 48 hours rather than PCR within 72 hours.

We leave a week from Sunday and are now scrambling to figure out how we are going to make the 72 hour window when our connection is on Monday coming from California. This is going to be a huge challenge for us. We did CVS last year but had the 120 hr window.
