Trying to get the right information on testing when traveling from
US. Do I understand that I can get rapid test within 48 hours or PCR within 72 hours?

When you say "rapid test", no. The rules are 48 hours for an ANTIGEN test, 72 hours for a PCR test. Please click on the link in the post pinned to the top of the forum for the full requirements.

Just ran into someone with at group of 8 that had no idea they needed a test to get back to the states. All of them at the testing site at the airport to get tested for departure tomorrow. How can you not know?

Hard to believe that someone would be that detached from reality.

Based upon some of the questions (and answers) I see posted elsewhere, it is not surprising. Hard to believe but it does happen.

No, not surprising at all. As we were awaiting our printed results several people showed up without appointments, and the necessary paperwork. They were sent back to the pharmacie to register.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

We ran into many people who did not know at all or had not thought 1 minute about how/where to get one. I had thought a out for 3 minutes as we concentrated getting on island.

Most of group landed on our 7th day.

On our 9th of 16 days I finally sent the TTOL Bat Signal for best/cheapest and Kennys won the prize.
