Does anyone know what happened between Ann and her mom? We were there a couple days ago and mom said Ann had moved on and was starting up her own (competing) bar/restaurant nearby. I had been under the impression that Ann owned Cow Wreck, but apparently her mom does, and in fact was the one who started the business.
Thanks Jason. Did Ann develop the cottages separately from mom?
(btw, I am hanging out at Myett's today. I'd love to meet you if you are around and want to stop by for a cold drink and a chat.....grey shirt, laptop at yellow umbrella table)
I spoke with Ann last night. She says she stopped working at CWB in March. She has been working on different projects. Adding more amenities to the Guest Houses and her new restaurant and bar. She is scheduled to open November 1st. I did not ask her where. But I think she told me a while back that she has some property just west of CWB. I wish her and Andrew well and look forward to seeing her new place (hopefully) this coming November.
We came over the weekend after Easter and stayed in Ann's cottages for a couple nights. Lovely accommodations. She has a cabana now, with a self service bar. Also a fire pit area. Only down side was the inability to find BBQ charcoal on Anegada that weekend. We will stay there again.
Does anyone have any information on Ann's new place? Where it might be? We have two trips coming up and have always LOVED spending time with her. Stayed at her cottages a few years ago and they were awesome.
I was there over the weekend. It is just down the beach (East towards Anegada Beach Club) from the existing bar. It's coming along pretty well. Building structure, bar structure, and framing for kitchen is in place. Needs the kitchen installed.
There is also material on site to start the new restaurant. Image is a rendering of the restaurant, not the beach bar.
