Is it possible to register multiple family members under one email address in the portal? Also is there any special document titles required by the portal?
Thanks in advance

So we went through the portal process for a 7/3 charter but failed to upload the health insurance cards. Since there's no way to amend a submitted application - will we need to completely re-apply (except for the covid/antibody test)?

No. When it's reviewed they will send you an email to upload the test results and fix the cards

Any thoughts on two different families traveling as a group? Our charter is 2 families (7 people total). Does it makes sense to fill it out all under a single email address? Or would there be a good reason to keep family groups separate on portal?

Got it, thank you. Let me ask this: Is there any harm in doing it two separate portal entries per family (Besides the obvious inconvenience)? The other group is a bit late on getting paperwork.

Everyone needs their own gateway application but you can use the same email address to simplify receipt of confirmation if you want.

Thank you. That makes sense. As I understand it, "logging back in" is difficult. So assume we would handle it as two completely separate processes but with same contact info? Does that make sense?

logging in again is only necessary if you dont load everything at once to include covid results...
wait until u get results to do but do all at once...
I referenced a thread above that may help you
as Jason says 1 email for all and make sure it is one you can check your spam filter...

Thank you! Yes, your previous post has been very helpful and I am still referencing it now- much appreciated.
My concern now is that the other family we are traveling with may not have all of their documentation (PCR results, specifically) before 48 hour window to start submission. I have all documentation for my family ready to go. We travel Monday. Because of external timing issues, the best window for me to fill out for my 4 family members is this evening. So I am wondering if it is wiser to just do the submission for my family tonight and have other family do their submission when they are ready and use same email/phone. Just not sure if that will confuse the system.
Sorry if I am missing an obvious solution...

For what it's worth, we were down the first 10 days of June with two families from different parts of the country (one Orlando, one Phoenix). Each family did their own submission to the portal, using two separate emails. This was needed for us for some of the same reasons you outline....different travel times, different testing times, and the need to comply with the 48 hour window.
We had no issues having the submissions separated, outside of the normal lag/delay in getting approvals from the portal. As others have mentioned, the most important thing is that each submission is completed with all required info from the outset. As long as you do that, you should be good.

In those circumstances do it now...you might end up travelling light. We have met a few people like that in our travels down here. Herding cats through the portal was a giant PIA. sorry i didnt mean to be short

No shortness inferred. And appreciate the insight. As it worked out, the other group receive their test results last night and we were able to sit and submit to both USVI and BVI portals. It was a process...But made easier by your previous post, so thanks again for that info.
Now, fingers crossed for approvals...

Cool...and good luck on approvals. We are waiting for our return tests and then head back Monday...
Great trip but way too much stress (and extra cost) on the front end...overcomplicated by lack of clear signaling from the BVI government and lack of detailed direction from them. This board once again was great help getting down and the BVI locals are very appreciative of the huge uptick of boaters at least in the last 3 weeks. Don't know about land based lodging but hope they are up as well

Update. We are now 36 hours post submission, and 24 hours out from travel tomorrow AM. So far, I have received 7 of 8 BVI approvals and 1 of 8 USVI approvals. My observation is that the BVI approvals have come in batches associated with last names- so all of my families (same last name) came through within 5 minutes of each other about 12 hours after submission. In the case of the other family, husband and daughter share same last name, and their approvals came in together about 12 hours after my families. The wife has a different last name and we are still waiting for her approval. As for USVI, my daughter, the youngest of our party was approved within 10 minutes of Portal submission on Friday night while the rest of us remain "Pending".
So, we are 24 hours out from departure. At what point do I start emailing?

I do. I have emailed both "support" mailboxes. I actually had sent one last night to the BVI email at 1030pm and got a reply within 5 minutes. And subsequent approval of 2 additional applications, but as I mentioned the 3rd member of that family has a different last name and I'd bet that's causing an issue. In any case, I emailed again about an hour ago. Sent to USVI email as well. No reply at all as of yet.
Dolphin Water Taxi is going to give a hand as well.
Any thoughts on who else to contact?

Update: ok, BVI final approval finally came through after I whatsapped the number given by the portal. Still no reply from USVI...

It might be a blessing if you got forced to fly home through SJU. The STT airport has achieved a new degree of horridness if that is actually possible.

Update: based on on-island advice, I just went ahead and resubmitted the 6 applications for USVI that had yet to be approved. Received "ORANGE" approval of each within minutes which flipped to normal green submissions in a few minutes more.
That's it. We're done with submissions. All approvals received. What a journey...and now, the trip.
Hah. Yeah, they appreciate it.
