June 28 same ticket AA from Dallas connecting in San Juan to EIS with return July 11. 2 adult US citizens fully vaccinated with documentation and medical trip insurance and will have PCR covid test results within 5 days of travel to meet BVI requirements -- Since we will not leave security (we hope) in San Juan do we need to do the portal documentation for Puerto Rico?

We returned through San Juan Thursday with separate flights. No need for portal.

Some airlines will not allow you to check in for the flight without the portal. InterCaribbean required it in March.

If you are a through flight into SJU from EIS you only have to meet the CDC international travel rules which are a negative covid test 3 days prior to travel produced at checkin.

yes...24 hours in PR or leave the airport and you need to do the portal
