On our last trip in the BVIs we encountered the deluge so it was only "natural" that we would be faced by the worst weather ever in April.
It blew and it blew...it rained and it rained....
We had winds in the upper 20s low 30s everyday with squalls bringing terrific gusts and horizontal rain....we had to close the hatches several times a day and several times a night...the anchorages were choppy...the rigging was howling every night.....

It was not the best trip but....
We had great fun sailing the Ben 50 to the "max" (AKA vertical sailing) we even passed cats on a beam reach from Mustique to the Cays...
And besides the lack of sleep which was compensated by over consumption of Mt Gay I had some absolutely great moments.....
In no particular order:
Cleaning and cooking lobsters myself (with the help of Willy) on Baradal under the rain.

Taking Willy's daughter Isabelle and her little friends to Mopion for the day.

Dinner and chat at West Indies with Joelle.
As always dinner and chart with James at Island paradise.

A great dinner at Fernando's on lower bay in Bequia.

Sailing Admiralty Bay in a 30 years old 24ft for a few hours with the owner Clive and being the envy of the crews sitting atop their million dollar boats.

And as always and ever being with Stinky, the coolest white man in the islands (yes "they" yelled and chanted his name wherever we went).

The only thing left to do now is to figure out a way to go back as soon as possible and be with our friends (and I do not use this word lightly) again.

Next time I think I'll fly American all the way since I've had the pleasure of spending 20 hours in the Barbados airport this time thanks to LIAT (my suitcase actually spent 40....)
