Can't believe it's time for our Covid tests to return to the US already. Anyway, we made our reservation from home at Medwork, $70 a person for the rapid test. They are in the same building as Avantika, which I actually THOUGHT I knew where it was, but not... Anyway, it is almost directly across from the OLD Topper's location. It appears that Topper's is totally at the new location now. But I digress.

Their office is on the second floor. Supposedly there is an elevator, but it wasn't working. We had appointments at 8:50 and 9:00 AM. Arrived around 8:45, waited about two minutes (in an air conditioned area) and they took us in individually. The appointment notice said to bring ID. I was going to just bring my driver's license, but Eric suggested we bring our passports. They asked for our PASSPORTS, so I don't know if they would have accepted DL or not. I assume so. We were out of there before 9 AM. They said they would email the results to our email address, but we didn't want to bother with trying to get some at Beachside to print our results, so we just said we would come back for a print-out. We did receive emails with our (NEGATIVE!) grin results.

So, we decided to head to Réveil Matin for breakfast, based on some really positive reviews that I had seen online, and on Jazzgal's recommendation. We spent $40 on breakfast (without any alcohol), but the food was quite good and I would go back. Will post more about that later.

After breakfast, we went back and picked up our test results.

Can't recommend Medwork highly enough.

We talked to some folks staying here at BSV a few minutes ago who tested over here in Maho, paid $75 PP and had to wait over an hour in line, AND had to go back to get their test result this evening. It definitely pays to check things out from home.

We’re planning to bring at-home rapid tests from Veritas with us next month. Half the price of what Divi wants for four people and no waiting in line. As long as the internet works for the telemed appointment 🤞

Carol - I was charged $70 when I made my appointment. Are you sure yours was $60?

Congrats on your test. Reveil Matin was our favourite back in January, so many unique options but we ALWAYS shared our meal, got to know the staff and always had a good experience.

Linda--huh, don't know now, perhaps the memory is off!! laugh My receipt is at home. Their website says $70, so I figure that's what I paid.. Will edit the post.

Canuck--yes, we definitely talked about sharing our breakfast, but we just decided to each get our own thing.
