Stayed at Divi and renewed friendship with Marisol at Gizmo's. Smooth flight down, American, Cincy, Charlotte, SXM. Highly pleased that traffic signals have been reinstalled at the intersection coming out of the west side of Philipsburg, at the small bridge ! Visited the beautiful beaches of Plum, Long, Friar's, Mullet, Cupecoy, Orient, Maho, Little Bay, Galion, but did not have the energy to make the trek from Friar's to Happy this time, pooh ! Hung out mostly at Orient and Maho,at Sunset Beach Bar, taking photos of the jets arriving overhead, where I could sit in chairs, making it easier to get back up ! Getting older ! Drove through the Oyster Pond area, and walked through Marigot. Took over 100 photos, the best of which I put on Facebook. Had a delightful dinner at the Palms with Bill and Elaine, Ann, Gail and her husband, Wonderful people !! Had tilapia with cajun sauce ! So good ! Flew back home on United, Newark (overnight, Mariott was very nice), then Chicago and back to Cincy. This was a great trip and I can hardly wait to go back !!

Don--sounds like a nice trip. Sounds like you went to a lot more beaches than we get to, so I wouldn't beat yourself up for not making it to Happy Bay!
It's very easy to upload photos here. Just click on USE FULL EDITOR and then attachment manager and upload them.
Sounds like a wonderful trip!! I had posted about a really fun place next to SSBB. Great food and live music, no HH yet, still new. The Sandbar!! I give it a big two thumbs up!!! On an other note, I feel so bad for you guys out there in the mid section of the USA. The connections, lay overs and over nighters to get there and back. Suggestion, connect at JFK stay over night close by, take first flight out on "JB" or Delta, be on the Divi beaches by 1pm!! We are fortunate, living "close" to JFK!! Glad you had a safe flights and a good time!! And didn't run into any crazy half naked drunk people along the way! LOL!!!
Hi David ! Yes, I had a drink at the Sandbar on a Monday, when SSBB was closed. Not bad. They were still doing construction on the Sandbar expansion. Thanks for the tip. I hope next time to find a non-stop out of Ohio, Ky, or Indiana , but don't expect to find one. The layover in Newark was a first for me ! The hotel there was very nice. Going to Cincy via Chicago was interesting, flying over Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. Hope to run into you and Louise at some time in the future ! Have a great summer !
