Hello my friends. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
My wife and I will be taking some students to Italy next March. We are planning on staying behind and visiting Greece for a while. We will be flying from Rome to Athens and seeing the sights for a few days before flying from Athens the Crete. From there we plan on island hopping our way back to Athens staying on 4 islands for 3 or 4 days each then returning to Rome before heady home.
My question is should we just book air at the airports because we want to be flexible and free, or should we have a set plan with air already booked before we leave for Italy. I prefer to stay flexible and it looks really affordable to get flights around that area. Thanks for all your help, and have a great day.

Agree with the ferries. Like a cheap cruise.
