Anybody remember the name of the restaurant in Marigot on the corner past where serafinas was upstairs with beautiful flowers going up. They had lobster on Saturday night I think. Not la vie en rose. The other way.Looked over the water. Thanks

Claude's Mini Club. Closed prior to Irma. Great buffet.

Before they filled in that part of the harbor, 70's and '80's, I believe it was called La Calanque or something like that. Loved it there.

I remember that place, Mike. My first thought was Claude’s Mini Club, too, but I think you’re right - La Calanque sounds right to me, also.??

Yes, La Calanque was across the street from La Vie En Rose, Mini Club location is blocks away going west.

that's it. Thanks. It was annoying us not remembering. We have a photo framed of that beautiful entrance way with the flowers but the flowers were covering the name at the top of the menu board.Loved it there. Appreciate the help. I can sleep tonight now.😀

If it was Claude's Mini Club, we used to go to their wonderful buffet. They had grilled whole lobster (cut in half of course) on the buffet. A walk along the waterfront after the meal always topped off a beautiful evening.

There was a person on this board that absolutely loved Claude Mini Club. Part of his registered name was Bob, but he has since passed away. One year while I was on the island and could not remember the complete name of the restaurant or the exact location. I posted on TTOL and he answered my questions. I took a group of 16 there and they absolutely loved it as did I. Sorry for going on and on but the mention of the restaurant name brought back pleasant memories of the lobster at Claude Mini Club and Bob... a person I never formerly met but was so nice.

The Bob I recall talking about it had posted on this forum not too long ago. Hope he's not the one you're referring to.

He is not the Bob from former Ocean Club in Cupecoy. Like I said the Bob that I am speaking of had Bob as part of his name. I think Bob! was Cupecoy.

Bob1p is who I think you’re referring to. Aka Bob Perlman (sp? - could be Pesrlman?) We had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife on one of our trips to the island. He did love the MiniClub and sadly, he passed a few years ago. His wife was never really into posting on TTOL or anywhere else but I think she does have a FB account.

If it was 30+ years ago it may have been La Calanque. I remember dining but not whether it was first or second floor. Terrific restaurant overlooking the ocean.
