Has anybody stayed at the Royal Islander recently? My husband and I will arrive on Saturday for a 3 week stay. We are long time owners and are so looking forward to heading back. I wanted to know if the WiFi at the resort is as strong as it has been in the past. I know we have to pay for it. Thanks!

I was there for 3 weeks in January and the WiFi was as good as ever. As always, everything was fantastic. Although the food remained quite good, the Tortuga had reduced its hours and menu - that was the only noticeable concession to the Covid crisis. Additionally, occupancy was down drastically, but that has no real impact on my stay. And I've heard that occupancy is up quite a bit now and that the Tortuga has extended its hours and menu. ENJOY!

FYI...there will be one major change checking into Royal Islander this year. Sherelle has retired.

Thanks for the info Ed! Do you know if Julina is still working in the reservations office? I sent her an email but haven’t heard back yet.., trying to stay in the same unit for 3 weeks and not have to move.

Mchuho,

We just added a week recently and got a response back within a week, had to try several of the contacts to get a response.
Maybe the only minor negative thing I can say about RI.
