Saturday. Moving day for many. Not for us, thank you, because we are not ready to leave yet.

Slept in a little and then got coffee and a light first breakfast. Watched some news on the TV and lounged and waited for 10am to see if the Formula One qualifying session in Portugal would be broadcast on ESPN2. Initially disappointed but then turned to ESPN one and there it was. Yeah our first F1 event in SXM. Now hopefully the Sunday race day will also be on.

After a second breakfast and a long walk to Divi and back we settled into our chairs for a long day of swimming (floating) and basking in the sun. Because many were checking out we had the beach mostly to ourselves. The weather was great, not too hot and very calm.

Lunch was hot sandwich wraps with ham, salami and cheese. Very good.

More beach time, the water was so nice. When we saw Vincent closing the towel shack we knew it was around 5pm so figured we better get cleaned up and figure out dinner.

After much debate we decided to go to Pburg and try Chesterfield's for the first time ever. Alas it was not to be. Closed. Must be the because of Labor Day holiday. Okay to the Greenhouse. Nope closed too. Bummer. Especially since we checked both on the internet and both were supposedly open.

Again another debate about where to go. We ended up back at the resort and went to Gizmo's where there was a lively crowd. I had a huge cheeseburger and the wife had a pizza, also very good but more than enough. Pizza for lunch tomorrow. Yeah.

More tomorrow.

I wonder whether the closure was because of Labor Day, or whether they were just closed on Saturday? A lot of restaurants close on Saturday, as many people come in that day and stay close to home. As always, one doesn't starve on SXM, even if you can't get your first (or second!!) choice. Always somewhere great around the corner to eat.

Well we do like Gizmo's. Decent menu, good food, good view, usually some DJd music and plenty of people watching. Plus a very short walk home. Divi seems to be quite busy.
