Just booked a trip for us in October, on top of our regular trip in June!!
Was able to get r/t frequent flyer air in cattle car from Miami for 20K. Don't think we have ever paid less miles than that. Hoping maybe by October, we won't have to test either going down or coming home, but regardless, so looking forward to it!

My return from SXM on AA FF miles for FC was 15,000 in June for a Friday. Would have been 60,000 on Saturday. Was an easy decision.

I wouldn't either coming from Florida but it a long haul for us from the West coast.

Absolutely. We used to travel 3 or 4 times a year, before we moved to Florida and got poor.
We will miss our fall trip to the beach here in Florida, but I'd rather go to SXM any day! The dogs are the ones getting left out in this one though, as they always go with us to the beach here.
