I literally liquidated a ton of AA miles to book family members to SXM the following week. Id rather have had a cheap Frontier alternative. Will have to see how cheap they are. Frontier and Allegiant arent bad and way better I suspect than Spirit which sounds horrible
I personally have flown Frontier, Allegiant and Spirit, and really don't see any difference between them, although I have not flown any of them very often. As I said, the biggest problem I would have with these flights is the Saturday only deal...
Ok. We are flying midweek. Weve enjoyed every frontier allegiant flight. Other than a tiny tray table they were all good. The descriptions of spirit were cramped, hard cheap seat and nickel and dimed for even a carryon.
Competition is good for airfares and they must see the demand
Sorry, not a Frontier fan, and they are based in our home town. Frontier is our airline of last resort (no pun intended). Super thin, cheap seats, and a reservation process geared to soaking you for every dime they can.

...which is exactly the same as Spirit and Allegiant. My biggest problem with it is flights only on Saturday. But we will probably try it at some point, braving a Saturday flight, considering they fly from Orlando, which saves us two hours drive time, each WAY, versus flights from Miami. But over all, competition is GOOD. AA prices from South Florida have been SO much more reasonable since Jet Blue started flying from FLL.
