Just a pure guess, based on the outline of the building--Egypt?

That is one moldy looking building. I'll guess somewhere in India where it rains a lot.

Fred - in real life that building looks worse than in the picture. It is not in India, nor is it in Egypt. It is one of the few architecturally interesting buildings in this capital city.

I've spent some time in Jakarta, Indonesia and the traffic situation and general scruffiness fits. So, Jakarta.

No, this city is about half the size of Jakarta; and this is about the most interesting architecture there... Jakarta has real skyscrapers and some flair - unlike this place. Here's the other interesting building in town:

Perhaps somewhere in Myanmar, like Yangon?

No, not in Myanmar - this is a Roman Catholic cathedral.

Racking my brain trying to think of places which meet your description - is Timor or East Timor a country? If so, I definitely don't know the capital; just hear of periodic trouble there.

No, we are not in Asia but solidly in Africa. I spent some time working here and it is one of the places I would not revisit. One of the few times I was not armed while there I was ambushed, but fortunately their firearm either malfunctioned or ran out of ammunition (probably the latter, as it was an AK-47). While the country has gotten better in recent years, for the most part it makes the ghettos in US cities look safe in comparison.

What's left of the name on the building and the Roman Catholic Cathedral makes me think of a former French colony - Rwanda?

Fran - yes, it is Abidjan in the Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)! I was doing security work there and would not return again.

Might be easy, might be hard.
Hint -- it's not in the BVI.

Sorry, had a busy day. You're correct of course. I did not stay there -- just walked past.
If no-one got it, I thought I might post this photo.

Rick, Drive isn’t Avenue!
Yes, NDFAN, it’s Palm Beach, but what’s the name of that Avenue? It’s a name as famous as Rodeo Drive.
That’s a Rolls, Ferrari, and a Bentley, btw. There was a chauffeur standing by the Rolls!

Winner, winner! TravelHat has the chicken dinner. But in that zip code dinner starts at $39.95 ala carte!

Well that was 1980-1988 so it was a little less at Hamburger Heaven or Testa’s. I will look for a picture in the AM but I may be out so if anyone has one, proceed

Well, TravelHat disappeared and it’s a rainy night, so here’s an easy one.

Very easy - I'll continue to play the game; I still believe that you shouldn't guess an image unless you have one to post. This is the North Sound of Virgin Gorda, taken from Hog Heaven. The docks are Leverick Bay while you can see Saba Rock sandwiched between Prickly Pear island and the Bitter End.

Yes, of course. Exactly correct. Actually from 2013 Is Hog Heaven open these days? As the barber says: “Next!”

Sorry I got caught up in this thing called “life”. I will refrain from solving if I can’t be prompt in the future.

What city is this in? I have a series of 3 pictures for this one, each image being easier to guess:

TravelHat, don't worry about it, guess away. Carol has already stated you don't need to have a photo since so many of us have run out.
