We are so excited. We booked and are going on Apr. 19th. Lesley, Kennys will meet us at airport for our hassle FREE car rental so we can go quickly to Maho Market and el Zafiro!! We are going to also stay at Beach Side Villas for a couple nights! Wonderful and can not wait. We are a little apprehensive about all of the differences with traveling and covid things. But, we both had our shots and are looking SO FORWARD to BEING there as opposed to watching the cameras on our computers. SXM, here we come!

Maybe we will be on the same flight out:) 19th-27th. We are staying out on the end of Amazone Rd, across Mullet Bay. We will use Grande Marche, then to the condo. Have a great week, and happy flying. BTW, we are both vaccinated, and looking forward to the trip!

Just booked our next January one way flight from BOS on United using flight credits...needed a phone call but it worked....added the extra room seats credited from the original flight.

Now just have to find a reasonable flight back

MulletBayMan--I doubt you will go to Grand Marche! Perhaps Carrefour??? Anyway, welcome to TTOL and enjoy your trip!!

Ah... so no Grande Marche at the circle near Cupecoy Beach? Or maybe I will ask this way "Where, near the airport, or the golf course, would you recommend for the closest to a full grocery store?" I see Carrefour across the "new" Simpson Bay bridge...

The Maho market has a nice selection.

The Carrefour at Jordan Village (by the medical school) is an excellent grocery store.

If you are looking for a full order of groceries then go to the full Carrefor stores, Both at Cole Bay, and at the roundabout near philipsburg. For smaller orders the Jordan village Carrefor is limited.....and so is the Maho Market.

MulletBay Man--Grand Marche is no more, anywhere on SXM. Anything that used to be Grand Marche is now a Carrefour. If you are looking for a full grocery store, you have the Carrefour by Mark's close to P'burg, and then the 'new' one just across the Causeway. We usually go to the one by Mark's for our first grocery run and then after that, we usually go to the Super U in Marigot or in Hope Estates. It depends on what you are looking for. The Carrefour by Mark's has a good selection of liquor and wine. The one by the Causeway, their selection of such things is not so great. The Super U does not have any American brands, so if you're looking for American brands, then you need to go to Carrefour. There are two small Carrefour stores in Cupecoy, but they don't have the selection of the larger stores. The Maho Market is good only for a quick hit, stuff like a carton of eggs or a bottle of wine, etc.

Maho Market has beer, vodka, water, snacks and the Daily Herald. All we need. We NEVER cook. haha

We arrive on May 29 and once again the one and only Leslie's will there for us. Mary's Boon the first week and OBBR the second week. The third week will aboard the Celebrity Millennium for it's second cruise out of SXM.
