I looked at it, and you couldn't buy a hard copy online?

We don't buy hard copies very often. I prefer paper back.

Off the subject a bit but that card shop is great. Stopped in Simpson Bay recently and it's much more than cards. Also, there's a basket of used books for sale and the monies go to animal rescue. I bought a couple then dropped them back off before leaving. Anything to help animals.

Scubaman--I couldn't find any copy to buy except an e-copy, was my point.

You can buy from Barnes & Noble, about $25 hardcover, $15 paperback and $6 digital. Link below.

Already downloaded the ebook so I can read on the plane on the way to SXM on April 19th! I think Ed Arres is the BEST book about SXM called the Fourth Horseman. Unreal for these times. I bought the paperback and ebook and read twice so far. So did my husband. And...also enjoyed the book that John from Tijon wrote about their business adventures on SXM.

Scubaman,

Thanks for the tip! I finished my other book and jumped into this one.

From my perspective it will be a good read. It is fictional but it hits so close to home while describing places and events on both sides of the island.

Definitely worth the download.

carib cheers,
doctorj

Just finished and found it a good read because we all love St. Martin . It hits buttons with local businesses.
It contains some twists and turns but in my opinion it really fizzled in the last chapters.
The ending to me seems like an invitation to purchase more in a series to come rather than a “Wow moment.”

My opinion only.

Wheels down in a few weeks.

I am about 3/4 through the book, on Kindle, and although it is nice to read about all the areas and restaurants we are all familiar with, I find the book somewhat boring. There are too many characters, and too much detail of their every day lives and activities that have nothing really to do with the plot. I keep wanting the storyline to move forward, but instead it bogs down. But that is only my opinion.
