I plan on making a reduced-size copy of mine and getting that laminated so it will fix in my wallet, and just keeping
the original somewhere else (mine has stickers with all of the information printed on them by Publix, so they'll still
be legible). I've also heard that if your card is filled out with some types of ink the lamination process can cause the
ink to smear or otherwise disappear, so making a copy first is always a good idea!

On the fence about laminating....we got the same CDC card from Publix and I will only have it with me when it is needed so lamination serves little purpose for me. I have imaged it on my phone which also auto-uploads to Google and Amazon photos so VERY easily accessed from anywhere

I made a front and back reduced size copy of my card after I got the second shot (Pfizer). I laminated the reduced size copy, and carry it in my wallet. The original is with my Passport and has not been laminated.

we'll probably have our cards laminated, but we also received a text with a link to an electronic version of our cards, which can be printed out or saved as PDF

My understanding is that Staples is laminating vaccine cards for free, for a while anyway. We thought this was safer, to not actually laminate it. For you, Rosemary, obviously you wouldn't want to laminate yours regardless until you get the second shot. We get stuff delivered to our office from Staples, for free. If you go to a local store, they may or may not have it.. We got one called a "vertical badge holder" and it was the right size, and you can take it in and out. Now other states may have slightly different sized cards, I don't know. Florida uses the CDC card. I think it's actually OK to laminate it, so LONG AS when it's laminated, it is not a heat lamination. The lady who gave us our shot said NOT to heat laminate it, because they put the info on the card on a sticker and heat lamination would melt the sticker.

Both of ours shots were hand written in on the CDC card. No sticker on ours. I laminated ours myself with extra wide clear binding tape. No heat involved. Worked great.

That's a good idea Carol, the sleeve. Thanks! Now to wait till June when I can get to Staples.

Probably, but we are not likely going to comb the island shops during a pandemic. It's safe in our safe.

Sounds like a potential custom "seal".....zip lock cut to fit....sealed around edges with tape....no lamination needed....gonna try it now..

Edit: Works great. Custom cut...zip opening at the top. Easily removable but definitely protected...and...obviously the info is visible without removing it
