Here we are beginning our last week, week 5. Where has the time gone!

It has gotten notable busier this past week. Easter breakers perhaps? There are fewer and fewer big yachts and sailboats in the lagoon. Maybe 3 lest at Isle de Sol. Just a few big sailboats too.

The last several days have been a lot cloudier than normal and we have had some tremendous downpours. Still managing to get enough sunshine.

Breakfast and lunch continues on our balcony. We did go out to dinner twice. We always do takeout pizza on Sunday night from Isola. It’s always Great!

First it was Bar Code. The place has become one of our favorites. Nice relaxed atmosphere wonderful service from Ivan and his staff. For a place that is essentially a bar, it has excellent food. Yes, Lots of burgers and such, but also some high end choices and great specials.
We started with Brie Fritters. So crisp on the outside and gooey inside. Served on a sauce of apples and Jalapeno. Amazing. John had Fish and Chips again but substituted onion rings for the chips. Really really good. Even the coleslaw was a cut above. I had the special: Osso Bucco. So moist, tender and flavorful. Served over creamy mashed potatoes. A real comfort food dish taken to the next level. All I can say is Ahhhh.

Thursday was a wonderful evening!! We began by stopping by the home of our good friend, Jeannie, where we enjoyed a really nice wine and a few nibbles on her balcony overlooking the ocean with Anguilla in the distance.

Dinner was at our favorite French restaurant, Bistrot Caraibes in Grand Case. For appetizers Jeannie had the crabmeat appetizer, John had the Endive Salad with blue cheese and I had goat cheese baked in pastry served with a little salad and a few slices of smoked duck. We all liked our plates clean!

For the main event Jeannie has the Goat Cheese that I had as an appetizer, John had the Filet Mignon and I had the Rack of Lamb. We could not imagine having a better meal anywhere. We had no room for dessert but enjoyed their ginger spiced rum.

The two brothers from Paris who own the place are as delightful as ever as is our favorite server.

A perfectly wonderful evening!

Thanks for the report! Great to see Thibault and Amaury! Was it busy there?

Carol, yes every table was occupied. Interestingly, there was one table near us that wore masks almost all the time, taking them off only to take a bite or a sip.

Bistrot is basically what I would call "inside" eating, so I guess that doesn't surprise that one would wear a mask entering, but I can't imagine taking the mask off for every bite!
