Hard to believe that we hit our half way point already. Seems like we just landed. Was planning on going to Orient this morning, but a dark cloud, and a quick spritz of rain, kept us at our timeshare today. Turned out it was a real quick shower, but we settled out at the pool at LaPlage, and stayed put. Tomorrow is another day. Had another wonderful burger at Tortuga for lunch, swam in the pool for hours, and it turned out to be a wonderful day. Tonight, we went to Port DePlaiance. spelling..., and went to Melange Grill. We were there a couple of years back, and tried it again tonight. All you can eat grill, with fish, pork, chicken, shrimp, vegies, steak, choice of appetizer, salad, and a couple of other choices also. Each table has a charcoal pit in the middle, the skewers of food arrives to the table, placed on the grill, and finishes off at the table. It was very good, plenty to eat, as much as you want, etc. Service was excellent. Sad though, i think there were only 4 or 5 tables being used. These restaurants are staying afloat, but not sure how. After dinner it was our turn to go into Princess Casino, and just about broke even after playing for well over an hour. Was surprised to see that Princess Casino was much busier than i have seen Casino Royale for the past week and half. Afterwards, we headed home, and walked into Casino Royale. Played there for another hour plus, and actually walked out of there with a few hundred more than i went in with. Finally a winning night, and now pretty close to even for the vacation so far. Sure feels better winning than losing. Tormorrow, barring any unforseen things now, will be an Orient day, and Le String. Overall another great day in paradise, and hoping that the week and time left slows down. More to follow.

Thanks for the report. Can you order off the menu at Melange? All you can eat just isn't my thing anymore. I've always liked PDP casino, although we haven't been there for a while. Not sure we will get to a casino this time. How are they handling chips and cards, etc? Are they sanitizing anything?

Honestly Carol, i am not sure. It sounds like a lot, we got the original skewers of meats, and some veggies, and a couple of them we didn't care for so didnt eat. Then we ordered a couple of more skewers that we did like. It sounds like a lot, and it can be if one wants, but we both were pretty full after are meal, and surely didn't overeat. I think with a group, the place would be fantastic, but we just had the two of us, and enjoyed it immensely. Bill with a couple of drinks just barely broke a hundred bucks. Worth it.

OK, yes, doing something like that with a group would be fun.

We were there a while ago and really enjoyed the setting, the food and the service. At that time you could order the various skewers or meals from off the menu. It was a lovely evening ended by a little time at PPDP Casino. I honestly don’t recall, but I’m sure we were losers. Again!
Respectfully,
pat
