Anyone have any information on the jewelry store armed robbery in Maho yesterday afternoon? We will be staying at the Royal Islander for three weeks starting on 3/21. Kind of scary having an armed robbery in the middle of the day! Any comments?

Just talked to someone with a store there -- it was Island Treasure that was robbed on 03/08/21.

Not the first time there has been a robbery in that area. The jewelry store next to the walk-through to the parking lot at Maho was robbed a few years back. Also, was there not a shooting that took place, with bullets going through the ice cream shop next to Cheri's?
Sorry, not trying to fear-monger but stuff happens everywhere these days.

Is this the same store that got robbed maybe two years ago? I feel like this is a deja vu, with it happening about the same time last time, right before we were arriving to LaPlage. Last time it was also a mid day robbery. Very strange.

J&N has also been through a robbery in Maho -- I think a couple of years back.
