Try Dream Yacht Charters - I know they offer “by the cabin” charters in that location - not sure what they are doing with those during COVID but worth a check.
Depending on when you want to go I could sell you my owners' time on a Leopard 40 and you could hire a captain through Moorings. Private Message me if you are interested.
I’m headed to Tahiti in November for a small cruise ship, but I reached out to OwnerTime Charters (TTOL Sponsor) to check on extending my trip on a Cat. They have crewed charters available according to the web site.

We did a “by the cabin “charter in Seychelles with dream yacht and it was wonderful...also looking into another location ( we have talked about Tahiti ) to do the same thing ...when Covid Leaves the global building that is ...
Kim... How were the Seychelles for a sailing trip? We went there over 20 years ago when Sunsail had just opened up there and, while the place was beautiful, it really wasn't great for a sailing location. Almost nowhere with dinghy docks so you hauled your dinghy up the beach and because of quite big tidal range you'd come back from the restaurant and the dinghy would be 100 yards from the sea or floating in 3 ft of water. Nowhere to provision outside of Victoria either.
We actually were on a fully crewed charter and yes very tricky to get ashore at some places. Our captain brought us in ashore with a dinghy in two batches - 10 passengers ...once approved ( some of the islands we visited were eco sanctuaries etc ) and we would be picked up at a later time...very tricky landings in some spots . We ate very well but the chef was creative and did mention provisioning was difficult. We ate fresh fish a lot ....
In the picture landing on this island ( bird island ) we battled a nice swell
Thanks Kim. Sounds as though everything is pretty much as it was. Not too bad as long as you have a strong crew hauling your dinghy around but perhaps not for me anymore as a bareboat skipper.
After literally 50 years of bareboat chartering in the BVIs (1980 through the cancelled 2020 second generation trip) and not quite that long as a dedicated TravelTalkOnline lurker and contributor, we’re considering a Tahiti charter in 2022. Does anyone know of a similar forum for Tahiti charters?
